Our school fete took place on Saturday 20th June. It began with our pupils parading from the school, through the village to the Welfare Field at 11:30 am. The pupils were dressed in their classes theme, Nursery & Reception were Elves and Fairies, Year 1/2 were Alice in Wonderland, Year 3/4/5 were Peter Pan and Year 5/6 were Fairytale Royal Families. The parade was again led by a fantastic samba band and once the police held back the traffic, the parade set off on its journey with crowds coming out to cheer us on. The fete officially opened at roughly 12 noon.
At our fete we had many stalls selling a variety of wondeful things, food Stalls, bouncy castles, inflatable sumo wrestling suits, racing karts, archery, inflatable pirate ship, trampoline, horse riding and much much more!!! The pupils also had the chance to throw wet sponges at Mr. Phillips and Mr. Roberts who were trapped in the stocks. There was also the spectacle of seeing Mrs. Price, Mrs. Henderson, Mr. Phillips and Mr. Roberts attempting to bellydance...
The weather held out for the fete, bringing in the crowds and ensuring that the fete was still going up until four o'clock in the afternoon.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the planning and carrying out of all aspects of the fete and parade and for everyone turning out in the numbers that they did.
